Hardly Hopeless is the doll journal of one, Sha. :3 Yeah, that's me. I first created this journal as somewhere I could post about my woes and desires for an Asian ball-joint doll without freaking out the people on my friends list. Occasionally, I freak out the people on this friends list, so what can you do? ^^;

This journal was created in late July 2004. About a month later, I acquired my first job working at Panera Bread. A month later, on September 19 2004, I won the auction for my first BJD. Or part of one. I won a Seimei head, sculpted by an individual customizer, Aeon Flux. Shortly afterwards, I bidded and won his SD13 boy body. This Seimei head was originally meant to be one half of a set of twins, but I soon realized that his head was not appropriate for the characters I had in mind. He became Valerius instead.

Now, so I don't scare anyone (like I said, it happens ^^;), all the dolls I hope to have, I plan on them being characters from my 2004 National Novel Writing Month attempt, Ichoria. I still haven't finished, but it was meant to be an expansive story about a world of gods and their relationship with Earth. All the characters are either gods or angels, from either Ichoria or Purgatoria, which are sort of two sides of the same coin. My first, Valerius, is a god from Purgatoria.

On April 10, I ordered a K-Doll Kian head in beauty white. At the moment of writing this, his head is currently being made, but when he is completed and paid for, he will be Valerius's as-of-yet unnamed brother, a god who has spent most of his life in the company of humans on earth. I plan on getting a Luts boy body for him when I can.

On April 29, the plan has gotten a major overhaul. For a while, I've been thinking of acquiring two Volks MSD Schulze/Maria heads to be the twins, Akiva and Vijaav, that have haunted me since I first saw Valerius. But in the end, getting two of these gorgeous heads has come to be too much of a hassle. Not only that, but getting there in time to snag a limited Anu Bermann isn't looking like such a bright possibility either. So now, I plan on making the best of what I have. The night before, I purchased a Luts boy body in beauty white, a wig and eyes for my Kian, who is now tenatively named Mordecai. He is no longer Valerius's brother, but... well, I'll let their relationship unfold when Mordy is finally all together. Although his head still hasn't been paid for. @_@;

In addition to the plan itself, the website will also need a major overhaul. Children of Ichoria will be renamed to Godworld (unless I think of something better) as soon as I get off my butt and make it a new layout. :)

On May 27th, the Kian I ordered has been mailed. Now, I'm just waiting for him to arrive, being that his body is already here and whatnot. Also! Recently, I've given in to my love to K-Doll's Kayan, and I plan to order one in the future. This Kayan will take up the character of Bright, a traveling muscian. And remember Jighad from a few paragraphs up? I've given up hope on getting an Anu Bermann, but that's just fine, because Hound will suit Jighad even better than Bermann. As of May 28, I still have to pay off my computer, and then save up for Jighad, and finally Bright. :)

Okay, so... as of June 24th, things have drastically changed. ^^;; I'm no longer planning on getting Bright and Jighad, and I've sold off Mordecai. Why? Because I'm leaving room so that I end up having one doll to devote all of my love and attention to. I've realized, unfortunately too late, that I'm more of a one-doll kind of person. I think that I've loved and bonded with the dolls that I have, but perhaps not in the heart-stopping way I would've liked. So, I plan on getting a doll that will personify a character that's been close to me for years now: I hope that my muse, my Gremory, will be the One. Err... well, the one, except for a Leekeworld Joy I plan on getting too. As a desk accessory, I swear! It's still one, though. Just one, plus a purse item. ^^;;;;

In any case, I have seen preordered one of Anu's gorgeous Dollshe Hounds to be my Gremory, and I'm currently awaiting my boy to be processed and made. ^^;

On August 15th, Gremory arrived here and has been taking over ever since. Monsterangel.net is now completely his, eventhough there is another doll and a head rolling around here. ^^; He is everything I'd imagined he would be, and I absolutely adore him. My dysfunctional angel. ^^;

Now, I know that my plan went from just Gremory to a little Joy? Well, I haven't been documenting it, but it's changed a lot since then. Right now, I'm saving up for the two Unoa boys, L-Bi and B-El, to be the twins I've been hoping for since almost the beginning, Akiva and Vijaav. I do plan on stopping after them, and my dear boys, my three angels, will complete Monsterangel and I will be fulfilled. Hopefully. ^^;

As of September 6th, after almost having him for a year, Valerius, my Seimei, has been sent away. I won't say who I sent him to, as I'm sure everyone will know soon enough. ^^; As for Gremory, well, he is quite enjoying not being one of the boys, but the man of the house. :3

Quite a lot has happened since I last updated this. A whole storyline came and went, actually. Gremory was sold, and afterwards I bought a CP Ttory I named Rafael, which I also sold. Rafael was to be the beginning of a brand new storyline called Rue Papier, but that fell through. Not before I managed to buy a Souldoll Dreamy Painter Neve and immediately sell once she arrived.

Now I'm settled comfortably in a niche, a spinoff of Rue Papier that consists of more adults than children. I currently have a Volks SD13 Syo, Julien, and his older brother, Ashlin, an LA Opening Fair Tae, or basically an Anais, on a SD10 boy body. Much thanks to the people who made Ashlin possible for me. <3!

I have quite a few other dolls planned for this series, such as Julien's boyfriend, Ashlin's best friend and a set of MSD twins. But right now I'm going to take a break from buying dolls and just try and spoil my two boys -- Ashlin, namely, needs clothes that fit! So no more dolls for Sasha for a while... unless, of course, CP comes out with the perfect Minifee. *__*

And that's about it for now. I'm no good at writing these things anyway. ^^;
